Food

Istria abounds in excellent restaurants, traditional rustic taverns and homesteads. We should mention Istrian specialties such as the white truffle, the Istrian prosciutto (prsut), ewe`s milk cheese, high-quality olive oil, seafood …
Istrian white truffle is one of the best renowned in the world. It is a rare white mushroom of tuberous shape, which grows under the ground, and is found by the especially trained dogs. The Istrian truffle is among the most precious ones in the world. Some people consider it a strong aphrodisiac. If this is so, it is worth a sin.

Activities

You can ride a bicycle all around the Istrian peninsula. Some sixty cycling tracks are spread over 2,600 kilometers. Some 70 % of the tracks are suitable for mountain bikes, while the others are asphalt tracks. We particularly recommend tracks meandering along Cape Kamenjak (Nature park), some 15 kilometers from Fazana.
We can also recommend other activities such as diving, walking, windsurfing, horse riding, tennis, golf, paragliding, caving, hang-gliding …
Mild Mediterranean climate with 2,387 sunny days a year, the sea which temperature can reach 25 degrees Celsius, and the average summer air temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, make Istria an ecological and healthy tourist destination.
